Boehringer Ingelheim and ZETA have enjoyed a long and successful partnership together. The international pharmaceutical company approached ZETA with an ambitious challenge in 2019. The goal was to implement a general planning project in 24 months.

ZETA accepted the challenge and successfully implemented the project.

A project of this magnitude is all about reliable partnerships. "The most important things here are a focused approach, good eye-to-eye communication and unwavering trust between all project participants," explains Andreas Polz, Project Manager at ZETA. ZETA can rely on an established network of competent partners. "This project is a milestone for the future cooperation between ZETA and its partners Busz, Caverion, ENERTEC, Hereschwerke, Ingenos and Lieb Bau Weiz," says Alfred Marchler, Managing Director of ZETA, with satisfaction.

A particular challenge in this project was to implement a greenfield production facility in a brownfield project. In many major projects in plant construction and the pharmaceutical industry, the various suppliers only use decentralized planning tools. With its Smart Engineering Services (SES), ZETA has developed a platform in which all planning partners work together simultaneously in a tool landscape. This reduces interfaces, massively accelerates project runtime and enables ultra-fast-track projects.

The advantage for the customer was that with ZETA, only one contact person was required for handling the entire project, from engineering the entire system, process area, technical building equipment and architecture to executing the process system, automation, commissioning and qualification.
